The IMOU Cell 2 is a truly location-independent security camera that operates entirely on 4G mobile data — insert a standard SIM card (sold separately) and the camera is immediately online without any reliance on a home broadband connection. This makes it ideal for remote outbuildings, farms, car parks, allotments, and any location where running electricity or WiFi cables is impractical.

The included solar panel keeps the built-in battery charged throughout the day, so the camera can operate continuously in most UK weather conditions. A robust IP67 rating means it is fully protected against dust and can withstand temporary immersion in water — more than adequate for British rainfall and frost.

Through the IMOU Life app you receive instant push notifications when motion is detected, view live footage in 1080p Full HD, and access recorded clips. The camera supports two-way audio for remote communication, and stores video to a built-in microSD slot for local playback without subscription fees.

Installation Guide

As a fully wireless, solar-powered camera, installation requires no cables or electrician — just a SIM card with a data plan and a sunny location.

1. Insert an activated nano SIM card with a 4G data plan into the SIM slot.
2. Download the IMOU Life app and create a free account.
3. Press the camera's power button and follow the in-app setup wizard.
4. Mount the solar panel in a south-facing position with maximum sun exposure.
5. Connect the solar panel cable to the camera's charging port.
6. Fix the camera bracket to the wall and adjust the angle as required.
